David Wagstaffe

Wagstaffe started his professional playing career at Manchester City between 1958 and 1964, making just under 150 appearances for the club. he signed for Birmingham City in the summer of 1964 and went on to spend over ten years at the club, helping them win the 1974 league cup final as they defeated his old Club, Man City 2 – 1 in the final.

Bob Latchford

Latchford was one of the finest ever centre forwards this country has ever produced. He started off his playing carer at Birmingham City and made a name for himself at the club, scoring some crucial goals. His great play earned him a then British record transfer move of £350,000 to Everton. He was top goal scorer at Everton for six consecutive seasons while playing there and scored over 30 goals during the 1977 – 1978 campaign. Latchford went on to make over 275 appearances for Everton and scored a staggering 138 goals. He finished his playing career at Swansea City.
